A free tool to identify your skills and manage your career in Europe
Europass is a European Union initiative that aims to help people communicate their skills and qualifications in a clear and logical way, and to support geographical and professional mobility opportunities.
The platform allows the user to record all their skills, qualifications and experiences in a personal profile. From this profile, Europass generates CVs & cover letters in one click, and stores all proof of competences and credentials (e.g. qualifications, diplomas, certificates) in a tamper-proof digital library.
How can Europass helps me become more aware of and enhance my skills?
The platform offers tailored suggestions of jobs and courses for Europass users based on their interests and skills, in France, as well as in 33 other European countries. In addition, it lists a lot of useful information on learning and working in Europe , allowing users to manage their career at any time.
How can Europass be used for apprentices’ mobility?
Studying abroad helps develop many skills including technical, professional and transversal skills.
However, it remains challenging to identify and communicate the learner’s skills and qualifications and upon their return from studying abroad, in order help them get an internship, a job or convince an employer.
Europass aims to recognize the qualifications and achievements acquired during the semester abroad. Any sending organization can apply for it for its students and apprentices, regardless of mobility funding (Erasmus+ or other) on the website https://europa.eu/europass/en
